Re-Inscribing Mayne
Misreading the Oblique in the Sixth Street House
with PETER EISENMAN

The following is a generative set of analytical drawings that reinscribe Thom Mayne’s Sixth Street house through the literal misreading of the oblique surface as represented in his original documentation. The analysis serves to challenge persistent architectural tropes, (such as part to whole) and to subvert traditional readings of space (Interior vs. Exterior) in order to find new figural and architectural transformations.
